CIPM, RCCG group partner Redeemer’s University to empower students


The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Ogun State Branch, the RCCG National Young Adults and Youth Affairs, and Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State have birthed a collaboration between academia and industry to empower students.


The group aimed to explore avenues for cooperation between the university and the institute to empower Redeemer’s University students in various aspects of their personal and professional development journey.

The institute and the RCCG body made the commitment during a courtesy visit to the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, in his office.

Key issues discussed during the visit included strategies for enhancing student engagement in career development, fostering entrepreneurial skills, nurturing leadership qualities, and facilitating the admission of university leadership into CIPM. These discussions underscored the shared commitment of all parties involved to equip students with the necessary tools and resources to thrive in today’s competitive landscape.

The outcome of the meeting was met with optimism, as the vice chancellor affirmed the university’s readiness to collaborate by agreeing to host a two-day professional development seminar in partnership with CIPM. This seminar aims to provide students with practical insights and guidance to navigate the complexities of the job market and emerge as competent professionals in their respective fields.


Furthermore, Akindele expressed willingness to explore the offer extended by CIPM regarding the admission of university leadership into the institute, recognising the potential benefits of such a partnership in fostering mutual growth and development.

In attendance at the meeting were the National Youth Pastor of RCCG, Pastor Sola Owoeye, ACIPM; Assistant National Youth Pastor of RCCG, Pastor Olaoluwa Abioye, ACIPM; and Chairman, CIPM, Ogun State Branch, Engr. Sean Olabode Badiru, MCIPM, whose presence underscored the commitment of both CIPM and RCCG to supporting initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and development.

As the collaboration between CIPM, RCCG Youth Affairs, and Redeemer’s University gains momentum, it heralds a new era of partnership and innovation in education, promising a brighter future for students as they embark on their journey towards personal and professional success.
