.Seeks permission to crush out killers, kidnappers, other criminals invading zone

The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, IbaGani Adams, yesterday, raised the alarm that evil has penetrated the South-West region of the country to which urgent and concerted actions are needed to be taken to address the situation.

He called on governors of the region to grant him permission to crush killers, kidnappers and other criminals that have invaded the zone.

In an open letter titled: “Yoruba land in trouble, Darkness looms,” addressed to Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), SeyiMakinde (Oyo) and Lucky Aiyedatida (Ondo), the Yoruba warlord also included the governors of Kogi and Kwara states because of considerable population of Yoruba people in the two states.

In the letter, Gani lamented that evil, such that has never been witnessed before in South-West, has entered Yorubaland, saying: “The more than 60 million Yoruba living in the South-West, parts of South-South and North-Central of Nigeria, are troubled.”

A copy of the letter was also sent to the states’ Councils of Obas, giving a detailed analysis of the prevailing security challenges in the region, even as he also proffered possible solutions to the problem.

Adams, while urging the governors and other stakeholders to act fast on the current danger, said it would be counter-productive to behave as if this hydra-headed monster is not already constituting a problem.

He, however, sought an urgent meeting with the governors on the security threat.
