School advocates cordial work culture to enhance productivity

Greensprings School has urged organisations to foster a culture of love and elevate workforce morale to boost productivity and enhance workplace dynamics.

Head of Human Resources, Cynthia Odunaiya, said this while speaking about the “14 days acts of kindness” initiative, introduced by the school.

She said the initiative has encouraged staff members to engage in deliberate acts of kindness towards their colleagues and loved ones, even as she emphasised the pivotal role of employees’ well-being in organisational success.

She said: “In all organisations, people are at the centre. The work environment must be warm and comfortable for them to thrive.”

She underscored the importance of fostering a workplace environment conducive to employees’ happiness and fulfillment.

She also restated the school’s commitment to employee welfare, which includes regular wellness talks, health check-ups facilitated by healthcare management organisation (HMO) partners, long service recognition awards, and personalised celebrations, such as birthday shoutouts and milestone commemorations.

“By soliciting feedback directly from employees, Greensprings School ensures that its operational framework remains adaptable to the evolving needs of a multi-generational workforce.

Odunaiya recounts a strategic session involving representatives from different generations within the organisation, leading to policy modifications tailored to accommodate diverse generational perspectives.

In alignment with Greensprings School’s motto, “In Love Serve One Another,” Odunaiya exhorts other companies to prioritise the cultivation of a love-centric work culture.

“We do all we do because we want everyone in our organisation to feel heard and valued. By embracing initiatives that prioritise employee well-being and fostering a culture of love, companies can elevate workplace morale and bolster overall productivity, she said.
