The Special Adviser on Education to Ogun State Governor, Mrs Ronke Soyombo; Nigerian Businesswoman, Ibukun Awosika, Tope Adenuga and others to speak at this year’s Early years childcare Conference themed Roots of Resilience: Nurturing Strong Foundations in Lagos.
Speaking on the conference, The Chief Executive Officer, Alpha Childcare, Caroline Popoola noted gaining a deep understanding of the purpose of early years education, why it works, and what constitutes good practice throughout her journey.
Caroline, who has been in the early years field for nearly two decades, affirmed establishing 14 branches in the UK, starting from scratch and growing to the extent that we now offer franchises to interested parties.
Popoola, who is born in the UK to Nigerian parents, expressed understanding her roots and felt a strong need to create change and impact lives, starting with her home country.
She noted the realisation of significant shortage or even a lack of conversation around early years education in Africa as a during the COVID-19 pandemic, adding that much of her communication was conducted online.
The CEO said the realization led to the establishment of Alpha Global Africa, charged with the mission of leading the early years conversation across Africa, starting with Nigeria.
“Throughout my journey, I have gained a deep understanding of the purpose of early years education, why it works, and what constitutes good practice.
“Having been in the early years field for nearly two decades, I am proud to have established 14 branches in the UK, starting from scratch and growing to the extent that we now offer franchises to interested parties.

“This realization led to the establishment of Alpha Global Africa.
